Reiki for Self

Reiki kanji

Many Reiki Practitioners do Reiki sessions more often for others than for themselves.  If an injury or an illness occurs, they are more likely to remember to use Reiki again for their own benefit.  I have done that myself.  At some point, we remember the teaching from our Reiki Master, “You can use Reiki as a preventative maintenance health program.”  Doing a little each day is better than waiting a few weeks to fit in a full Reiki session.

Give the gift of Reiki to yourself before you fall asleep and when you wake up each day.  I even manage to do some Reiki on myself, with an available hand, while driving a car on long road trips.

As a practitioner since 1983, I have discovered throughout the years that Reiki is not just about balancing the physical body.  It is also a tool to assist in the many blossoming periods of growth and awakening.  The more I took the time to do Reiki on myself, my clients and audit an occasional Reiki class, the more I was in the energy of Reiki.  The more I was in the energy of Reiki, the more I found myself committing to my personal path of growth.

Reiki (ray key) means Universal Life Energy.  This spiritual power is an expression of Light.  When we bring Light into our body, it creates a very, powerful, transformative process.

“Light brings up anything unlike itself for healing and release.”

This transformational tool becomes like a spiritual flashlight; revealing cobwebs, our shadow, repressed memories, thoughts and feelings.  We enter the experience of conscious processing and witness our ‘Now Moment’ teaching.  We can choose to emotionally re-act and resist, or we can choose to surrender to the lesson that we are experiencing as we interact with others.  Whatever our choice becomes, we can learn from it.

Reiki balances the physical, etheric, emotional, mental and spiritual levels of our being.  As we begin to know more of our wholeness, inner peace and love of self, we strengthen the foundation of our being.  We gain the courage to explore more of our own healing journey.

Reiki is a transformational gift for Self that lasts a lifetime.
